Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are and how KeyLife Electronics ("us", "we", or "our") uses them on our website at keylife.tech (the "Site"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your web browser when you visit. They allow the Site to recognize your browser and remember certain information, such as your preferences, to make your next visit easier.
Cookies can be "persistent" or "session" cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your device after you go offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.
2. How KeyLife Electronics uses cookies
The Site is a static, informational website, and we keep our use of cookies to a minimum. At present we use only:
- Essential cookies: needed for the Site to function and display correctly, and to remember basic settings such as your display or language preference where applicable.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to measure how the Site is used - which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, how far you scroll, clicks on links that lead away from the Site, and whether an inquiry form is completed. When a form is submitted, the country selected in it is sent as well. These are first-party cookies, named
_gaand_ga_followed by a property identifier, and they expire two years after they are set. - Advertising and social-media cookies: set by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. We use it to understand the aggregate professional profile of visitors who are LinkedIn members, such as job title, seniority, industry and company size. LinkedIn reports this to us only as group totals and never identifies you to us individually. These are third-party cookies set on linkedin.com, including
bcookie, lidcandUserMatchHistory, and LinkedIn may also use them to target advertising to you. They are governed by LinkedIn's own cookie policy.
Session storage, not a cookie. When you first arrive, the Site also records how you reached it - any campaign tags in the web address you followed, the site that linked you, and the page you landed on - using your browser's session storage rather than a cookie. It is read only if you send us an inquiry, so that we can tell which of our posts or campaigns brought you here, and your browser discards it the moment you close the tab. It is never sent to anyone else and it holds no personal information of its own.
The Site does not require an account or login. Analytics and LinkedIn cookies are set when you open a page. If you would rather not be measured, you can block or delete them using the browser instructions below, or use your browser tracking-protection setting. You can also opt out of LinkedIn's advertising cookies directly in your LinkedIn advertising settings, or through LinkedIn's opt-out page for people without an account.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party services we rely on to deliver the Site, such as our hosting or content-delivery provider. Any such providers are permitted to process data only to deliver their service to us. Two third parties set cookies for measurement rather than delivery: Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, both described in the section above. The LinkedIn cookies are advertising cookies and are governed by LinkedIn's own privacy policy and cookie policy.
4. What are your choices regarding cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that if you delete or refuse cookies, some parts of the Site may not display or function properly.
- Google Chrome: Clear, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome
- Microsoft Edge: Delete cookies in Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox: Delete cookies to remove the information websites have stored
- Apple Safari: Manage cookies and website data in Safari on Mac
- For any other browser, please visit its official support pages.
Separately from your browser settings, you can turn off LinkedIn's advertising cookies at the source:
- If you have a LinkedIn account: LinkedIn advertising settings
- If you do not: LinkedIn's opt-out page for visitors without an account
5. Where can you find more information about cookies
